Crystal Healing Explained.

There can sometimes be an ‘air of feeling’ between those people that are interested on rocks and minerals and collect them for study – and those people that believe that they have therapeutic or healing qualities. Often the two don’t mix. Perhaps the main reason for this is that the one person is more inclined to science, examination and
investigation of facts whereas the other is more broad-minded and open in belief.

In 2002, Nat and Tony Bondar opened a small crystal and mineral shop in Cork, Ireland. They began to sell to sell a variety of minerals, in a variety of forms. They also began to sell books about crystals and minerals, both the geological / mineralogical type and also the holistic / spiritual type of books.

Then one day they thought about two questions; if a crystal had ‘an energy’ that could improve our health in a certain respect – why would it do so and exactly how could it do so? This led to further questions such as - if a certain mineral was reputed to be able to relieve a headache, then why was it that particular mineral and not another
one with such a quality?

However, when they looked through the ‘crystal healing books’, none of them adequately answered these questions. If something was true, then there had to be a reason and an explanation to show why it was true. On searching through every available book, none provided a satisfactory answer.

At this point it’s appropriate to reveal that Nat has an unusual and quite unique ability; she can see subtle energies. She can see auras around people and objects, she can see inside objects and see their subtle energetic reality. When Nat looks at minerals, she can see many different perspectives. On one ‘level’, she can see an energetic structure of the mineral or crystal with various coloured channels. On other levels, she can see other structures with other formations.

In July 2002, Nat and Tony began to research the subject of the energetic reality of minerals and their research has slowly evolved into a book.

They achieved conclusions about their original questions. The reason why minerals have therapeutic qualities is because they all have different varieties of what they have called ‘mineral energy’. These different varieties are distinct from one another because of the strength and the frequency of vibrations of this subtle mineral energy. If
you were to look at all reality as simply as you could – you would perceive it as nothing more than energies. It may be pictured as a vast ocean of countless variable types of energies. Living with the everyday experience that life exists in a multi-dimensional reality, Nat began to study subtle energies by observation. A very large proportion of
these subtle energies is a type which Nat and Tony have named as ‘primeval environmental energies’ (or PE energies for short). These PE energies play a major role in the creation of mineral energy. Each energetic structure of a mineral performs specific functions. Generally they admit certain types of subtle PE energies into the structure, which then go through a special energetic management system before being emitted from the structure on a different level. It is while they are within the structure, and the number of changes they go through that give the mineral its special energetic qualities.

Here in this diagram of quartz, the PE energies enter the structure at 1 and after many changes they are emitted at 12. Quartz varieties have the most complex energetic structures; and this diagram is actually a simplified version of the real thing.

To our knowledge, no one else has ever produced the energetic diagrams of minerals, and through understanding of what is happening inside minerals, we can approach conclusions about their qualities. The size, colour, weight, hardness, specific gravity, chemical composition and name of the mineral have absolutely no bearing on its therapeutic qualities. These are energetic qualities; they have an energetic explanation.

Each of our organs and systems (and then subsystems) in our physical body can be seen fundamentally from a position of cellular activity as their origin, but behind this is an energetic reality. Within the latter can be found exactly specific subtle energies which carry an ‘information command’ or code and these special subtle energies
have the main function of sustaining and maintaining the physical cellular activity. Generally this ‘code’ ensures harmony, but where it is miscoded or distorted, it gives the wrong message and that leads to the manifestation of chaos and therefore illness and disease. Each of these special subtle energies possess a certain strength and
frequency of vibration. Of the perhaps 5,500 known minerals – there are therefore 5,500 potential varieties of mineral energy that will closely match the varieties of special subtle energies of the body… However, the coding that all forms of mineral energy carry is one of harmony only. Named as the ‘Element of Harmony’, this coding
acts to re-programme the distorted codes of the special subtle energies where applied. By means of special exercises with specific minerals – results are obtained – and this is the foundation of explaining why minerals have therapeutic properties.

Where the first picture shows the natural ‘escape’ of the PE energies, the second picture shows how after polishing, they behave in a chaotic pattern without direction. As a result of this observation, Nat concluded that polished Amethyst crystals in particular are at best, only 20% as effective as the natural and unpolished ones. A similar story unfolds with chemically treated minerals such as Calcite. On observing the energetic reality of natural Calcite and comparing it to the commonly available ‘acid dipped’ Calcite - there are dramatic differences.
With the latter, the energetic structure appears to be completely sealed within the surface of the stone, rendering its activity to be nil. Nat concluded that where mineral energy can not move… it can not work. Therefore such chemically altered minerals are not suitable for healing at all.

At a certain point, they began to realise differences in their research with the accepted traditional ideas of crystal healing – for example:
a) When we polish stones to enhance their beauty – they often have dramatically altered energetic structures – which diminish and can even completely cease their energetic functioning. As a result, they are often totally unsuitable for healing; yet many people believe their tumblestones have healing qualities.
b) Many people associate crystals and stones to the Chakras by colour, yet we have found that correct association has nothing to do with colour at all; it is actually by the strength of vibrations of mineral energy.
c) Many people believe that Quartz crystals have an energetic channel that flows from their point, whereas we have found that although this channel exists – it flows in to the point and not from it. This fact brings great ramifications to the traditional ideas of using ‘crystal grid layouts’…
d) The subject of cleansing crystals and stones we find to be completely misunderstood by most people and that most minerals do not require cleansing at all, this contradicts the tradition of cleansing all stones as soon as you have bought them!

So, a new approach about crystal healing could be – don’t believe all you hear or read about the subject unless you have good cause to do so; there’s a lot of nonsense out there! Having said that, even when someone tells you the wrong ‘quality’ of a stone and you accept it as true – and then make use of that ‘alleged quality’ – you can still have
results – but these results are due to your thoughtforms and may have nothing to do with the real qualities of the stone… Therefore, sometimes – unless you can really actually see the energetic reality during a situation – you can never really know what is really going on.
